Embracing Digital Marketing as a Small Business Owner

In order to be relevant as a small business owner, you have to have a website. But not just a website, you need to be reaching your target audience and telling them how to find your website. Digital Marketing 101 tells you that you should be creating meaningful blogs, fantastically engaging Facebook posts, Interesting IG posts, and maybe sprinkle in some Pinterest pins. You should be posting daily to keep up with the algorithms, and then on top of all that, you still need to run your business: you know the work people pay you for… As a small business owner just starting out, marketing your incredible products and services can be a daunting task. I speak from personal experience here.

Streamlining Your Social Media with Buffer

Enter Buffer.com

What is Buffer you ask, and why should I care? Buffer is a service that allows you to post to multiple platforms on the schedule you like. You can schedule multiple posts to go live on your social media platforms at a specific time/day. You can create all your posts ahead of time and then schedule them out, say, for the rest of the quarter or year. Think of how much time you can save just implementing this.

Crafting an Effective Posting Schedule

It has been shown that businesses that post regularly on social media grow their business faster. A general schedule might include posting 1-2 times per day on platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn, 3-5 times on Twitter, and 1-2 posts or stories per day on Instagram. This schedule balances engagement without overwhelming followers, ensuring content remains fresh and relevant across platforms.

Maximizing Your Marketing with Buffer's Features

Buffer does have a free tier which I highly recommend to start, to get a feel for how it works and give it a test drive. On the free plan, you can connect up to 3 channels, and allows for 10 scheduled posts per channel at one time. But you can create as many "drafts" as you want to have ready beyond the 10 scheduled posts. Even on the free tier, you have access to some of their AI for writing posts, as well direct Unsplash.com and Canva.com connections in order for you to add appropriate images or graphics.

Conclusion: Let Technology Work for You

How nice would it be to know while you are off working and earning money, your marketing isn’t at a standstill just waiting for you to get back to it? Instead, things are still being posted without your having to trigger it or focus on it. Give it a shot and let me know how you like it! Spring Hill Web Designs exists to make your business thrive.
